Throughout the times, the Kärbuotsa lowland was visited by the vikings and, more recently, by sailboats and modern cargo shits. Kärbuotsa people have always been tough fishermen and sailors. Quite a few circumnavigations originated from here, and such baffling specimens were caught from the seas, that no people from the continent could ever hope to even see on TV.
Kärbuotsa farmhouse offers guided experiences at sea in addition to providing lodging. Seasoned as well as beginning fishing enthusiasts are welcome here. Local fishing guide Taavo Kuusik is known for converting people into avid fishermen.
